Summary
This stylish conversion of a landmark 1920s Chelsea car showroom from the D&D London stable certainly looks the part, but it continues to generate amazingly little feedback in our annual diners’ poll beyond the occasional complaint along the lines of: “service was appalling and the food not much better”.
Summary
Given the size and prominence of this huge D&D London landmark on Chelsea’s main drag – the conversion of a beautiful 1920s car showroom – it’s astounding how little feedback it inspires. Such as we have is all positive this year, though.
Summary
This smart D&D London conversion of a Modernist 1920s car showroom on a prominent King’s Road site leaves reporters impressed by the venue if rather underwhelmed by the cuisine – “beautiful restaurant and nice service, they just need to up their game food-wise”. Situation normal, then, at this large space, which has never really capitalised fully on its potential.

For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

Bluebird Restaurant Diner Reviews
"This Chelsea stalwart offers decent enough food in a trendy, relaxed restaurant vibe setting. Targeting a younger audience with popular bar and dance music it’s not the pace to take parents for a weekend evening meal. "
"A very enjoyable lunch! Food was good, not great, but the service was nice and you can’t beat the people watching or the setting. Wine lovely, waiters knowledgable and accommodating. Not been before for trepidation about the MIC crowd but enjoyed myself. "
