Summary
“A perfect location opposite the National Theatre and Festival Hall and good pre-theatre set-menu” win particular nominations for the SE1 branch of this well-known national group. Even some fans “wish there were more adventurous choices on the menu”, but they still recommend the “French-influenced” brasserie cooking as “better quality than many rivals even if it is very much chain fare”. The overall verdict, though, is that it’s “just OK, especially bearing in mind the prestigious name under which they trade”.

"Previous reviews have suggested that the food was average but our party of six people for lunch on a Sunday were impressed. It may be a chain but the quality of the food and wine was excellent and the service very good. We choose from the a la carte menu and did not try out the Sunday roast option which we observed many families chose. We cannot comment on that choice."
