Harden's survey result
Summary
The food at the quartet of London cafés supplied by Lady Bamford’s organic farm in the Cotswolds suffered a mauling from some reporters this year. The Daylesford brand does have some “huge fans”, who praise its venues as “very pleasant for a good-quality snack”. But critics – citing “long waits”, “clueless staff” and “poor-quality, ropey ingredients” – feel they “may be a place to be seen but are overpriced and uninteresting”.
Summary
The four London farm shop/cafés – in Brompton Cross, Notting Hill, Pimlico and Marylebone – supplied by Lady Bamford’s organic farm offer a reassuring taste of life in the Cotswolds. They serve “pleasant café food, but some of the prices are too much”.
Summary
Lady Bamford’s four organic farm-shop cafés in London make “perfect brunch venues” before stocking up on non-packaged ‘zero-waste’ goodies from her Cotswolds farm. They’re also “nice for people-watching” – although, while the “previously terrible service has improved a lot”, “staff are often overwhelmed when things get busy”.

For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

Daylesford Organic Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Service was atrocious. To make a simple hot chocolate and a piece of toast we have to wait for 30 minutes and the restuarant was completely empty on a saturday morning while full of staff. That toast was nice, but the croissant we ordered was stale, the hot chocolate was cold and made with non dairy milk (despite we wanting normal milk) and oevrall it was a dissapointing meal. It was meant to be a quick an easy breakfast adn turned into an ordeal. Not coming back."
