Harden's survey result
Summary
This “great quality local bistro in an old bank” in the centre of town near the market square “was historically the ‘other’ restaurant to Mrs Millers at Culgaith, but the garden centre housing the latter closed down a couple of years ago”. “It's all bistro stuff, with a very firm grounding of classic technique, that’s not going to set star chasers’ chins wagging. But it’s all very well done, and there’s the same unbelievable value as there used to be at Culgaith. At these prices… rude not to”.
For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
