Harden's survey result
Summary
“A stalwart of the Nottingham restaurant scene” for almost 30 years, “it can feel like you are eating in France” at this city-centre outfit with a “constantly changing menu, strong on unfamiliar but interesting dishes”. It’s still run by its founders, Corsican Stéphane Luiggi and his Notts-born wife, Louise.
Summary
“You feel you could actually be in France when eating here” at this Nottingham fixture, established in 1994, with “excellent food and an unchanging French ambience”. (Stéphane Luiggi, its Corsican founder, and his team made a lot of new friends as the city’s “star performer for takeaway food during lockdown”.)
Summary
Established in 1994, Corsican Stéphane Luiggi’s “authentic” (down to the Gallic staff) homage to La Belle France, spanning a café, deli and shop, remains “the perfect place to relax with good food and wine after a long shop in town”; bien sûr “you have to be a bit of a Francophile to get the most out of it!”

For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

French Living Restaurant Diner Reviews
"What a find !! An unassuming frontage in a busy retail part of Nottingham leads into a french bistro par excellence. There's a great value menu du jour until 6.30 . We arrived later and had a salads to start - Landaise, and Delice Bourgogne. Followed by monkfish gougons, and chicken supreme , both come with delicious potatoes, spinach and ratatouille. Ingredients are super fresh, portions are large , seasoning is delicate. Puddings are good. Service is very personable. Affordable wine list and none of those annoying hidden costs for sides, bread etc. Nottingham is very lucky ."
