Time to kill near Euston station? Grab a bite at this “long standing, quality local” – a sweet-looking, little curry house (est 1982), still proudly displaying its Fay Maschler review from shortly after it opened. “It always delivers good dishes” – Nepalese specials are best – but prices are not as ‘bargain basement’ as its appearance might suggest.

“Delicious and different food and caring hosts who explain its origins” have kept fans loyal to this otherwise nondescript fixture, down the side of Euston Station, for over 50 years. Some of the food is fairly standard north Indian fare – the Nepalese specialities are the way to go.

For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"Have eaten there since 1985 and standards have been maintained and the interior smartened up. Good atmosphere and fmily run. The biryani is a default choice and the Nepalese starters pleasingly different."
