Vegetarian Restaurants in Brighton
1. Terre à Terre
Vegetarian restaurant in Brighton
71 East St - BN1
“Flavours bursting out everywhere” characterise the “great range of veggie food” (“Wow! I didn’t know meat-free food could taste this great!”) at this “very-Brighton-in-ambience” legend in The Lanes – according to many, “still the best vegetarian in the UK”. Quibbles this year included “a menu that seemed less extensive than it used to be and service that was a little erratic”. On most accounts, though, it’s “simply the best” and “a must on any trip to Brighton (and we are not vegetarians… we just love the high quality and imaginative food!”). Top Menu Tip – “afternoon tea here is different and delicious, with a great variety of vegetarian savoury and sweet items”.
2. Food for Friends
Vegetarian restaurant in Brighton
17-18 Prince Albert St - BN1
“Lovely tasty veggie” cooking has drawn plaudits for this Lanes veteran for more than 40 years, which these days takes inspiration from global cuisines, including Chinese, Sicilian, Sri Lankan and Vietnamese. Botanique, its younger sibling, is in nearby Hove. Top Menu Tip – “I hope the sweetcorn is on the menu forever”.
