Harden's survey result
Summary
“I was expecting this to be a luke-warm franchise type of place, but the food was really exceptional!” – José P has confounded any sceptics with his takeover of this “relaxing oasis” within the famous Piccadilly art institution: “a fantastic addition to the dining scene in London” with “fabulous tapas”, “served impeccably” in a “stunning” dining room where you eat “surrounded by art”.

For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"Beautifully rendered tapas from a short menu in gracious surroundings. A fine lunch stop"
"Return for lunch in this lovely room; so convenient when visiting the Royal Academy. Menu has something for anyone despite being only one page. The descriptions do not prepare you fully for the complexity of the dishes. Octopus for example was sliced with subtle ham etc. Cob Salad turned out to be cheese wrap etc. Deserts also excellent - Spanish Toast this time is a much lighter again subtle version of the ubiquitous French Toast. Good choice of wines Friendly Service this time was super fast but no pressure to leave. Overall, shows us how much good Spanish foos can offer. Its not cheap though"
"Limited choice of tapas, but every one a winner. Leave room for the classic desserts, with a difference. And such a beautiful space--talk about high ceilings and light. Perfect post-exhibition lunch. "
"Does not match Jose in Sothwark. Dishes with the same name are different"
