Harden's survey result
Summary
“Amazing Japanese tapas, packed full of flavour” are served at this “unique and creative” five-year-old which started out as a supper club. These days it “rivals places charging twice the amount” – and it’s “where all the top chefs go on their day off”. Jay Rayner of The Observer visited in October 2022 after a tip-off from a Nottingham-based pal, and declared it his “restaurant of the year”.
For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

Kushi-ya Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Didn’t scale the heights and a bit inconsistent but overall good. Highlights were a juicy smokey pork belly skewer and their take on prawn toast. Pork ssam was too sweet for me and a bit dry. "
