Harden's survey result
Summary
This Mexican/Japanese hybrid in Notting Hill offers ‘gangster tacos’ served with Japanese elegance – and provides “the best fun dining out I have had in a long while”, full of “exciting, flavour-packed mouthfuls”. Finnish-born founder Markus Thesleff coined the label ‘Baja Nihon’ to cover a cuisine that does not exist elsewhere, and has taken over the site occupied by legendary fish ’n’ chip restaurant Geales (RIP) for more than 50 years. Top Tip – “it’s great for allergies – the entire menu is GF and you’d have no idea!”
Summary
On the site just off Notting HIll that was for over half a century Geales (RIP) – this new urban-grunge taqueria and tequileria hangout is the antithesis of the traditional English fish ’n’ chips restaurant that preceded it, and opened post-lockdown in late Spring 2021. No survey feedback as yet on its funky sounding Mexican/Japanese menu, but in August 2021 The Daily Mail’s Tom Parker Bowles was grudgingly impressed: “far better than expected…[for] good tacos and sashimi, cracking cocktails and a merry night out, you’re very much in luck. Los Mochis is a blast”.
For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

Los Mochis Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Wow, what a great place for dinner with friends. The food at Los Mochis was better than any Nobu or Zuma altogether. I am pretty spoiled when it comes to restaurants, but their seabass ceviche is the best I’ve ever had, without exaggeration. Also, the drink selection is amazing. Definitely get Los Mochis Tommy’s or Pepino-Jalapeño Margarita! I am so coming back for that truffle guacamole on crispy rice and the duck on crispy rice (don’t remember what it’s called). And the matcha dessert is to die for. The ambiance and service are top-notch, too. Oh, and the place is completely nut-free and gluten-free, so I could just order anything on the menu without worrying about my food allergies!"
