Harden's survey result
Summary
All agree on the attractive style of this long-established (since 1982) and rather old-fashioned Belgravia stalwart, with nice pavement tables. Not everyone agrees on the value provided by its eclectic international menu (shepherds pie, seared tiger prawns, Dover sole, Belgravia burger…) but it is sometimes tipped for business.
Summary
As a “fun and buzzy” haunt, this long-established (since 1982) Belgravia bar/brasserie (ground floor) and dining room (basement) has a fair few fans. Some enjoy its “low-lit and relaxing” interior, whereas others feel it’s “best to sit outside”. There’s a wide ranging menu (from shepherd’s pie to chicken gyozas via vodka penne) which no-one pretends is hugely foodie but which is generally well-reviewed. Breakfast is the meal most often tipped here.
For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
