Harden's survey result
Summary
“Affordable French bistro cooking”, a “wide range of dishes” and “decent portion sizes” make this Gallic outfit (like its nearby stablemate Pierre Victoire) “just the thing for a Soho bite”. It provides truly “exceptional value” for lunch and pre-theatre, but beware the price jump from 6pm, when it switches to an à la carte format.
Summary
“A decent French option in Soho”, with a “good varied menu” – this brasserie (sibling to nearby Pierre Victoire) provides “excellent value for the West End”. It’s especially “handy for the early fixed-priced menus”; after 6pm, despite the name, it moves to an à la carte format – which “isn’t as much to shout about”.
Summary
“Unostentatious and slightly lacking in character”, this “basic, cheap ’n’ cheerful French-style bistro” (sibling to Pierre Victoire) offers “good, honest cooking and excellent value” in the heart of the West End – “more enjoyable, with better food, than many a swankier venue”.

For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

Prix Fixe Restaurant Diner Reviews

"A post matinee evening meal. We arrived early and were warmly greeted. The menu choice is good and very sensibly priced. Food portions very adequate and service top notch."

"Came for a late lunch on a rainy Sunday in January. Good variety of food and option for 2 course deal (although this does not include dessert). Nice for quick tasty meal. Probably better suited to meat eaters than veggie or flexitarians. As always assumes vegan rather than vegetarian which means no tasty vegetarian option."
