Of course it’s “slightly gimmicky”, but on the whole it’s “a good effort at a budget experience”: “you get what you pay for, and while not all dishes hit the mark, and service can be a bit hit ’n’ miss (particularly at busy times), it is innovative, has a great buzz and is a lot of fun”.

"For a chain, the food is remarkable. They make it feel like a junior up market restaurant at quite decent prices. They offer changing menus and for each a standard or vegetarian. Not advertised but available is a pescatarian option which combines the two well. 6 contrasting courses , Chips and cheese; Scampi Bainget; Root vegetable Pie; Fish supper; Cannelloni; Fried mars bar with other bits"
