A “superb and lovely restaurant set within a stunning sloped walled garden on the fringes of the Mendips”, where brothers Matthew & Iain Pennington follow a hyper-ethical ethos strong on vegetables and wild herbs. Their offering is currently split between the multi-course ‘Ethicurean Experience’ (£130), and ‘Ethicurean Lunch’ (£60) on Sundays. NB: Like fellow Brizzle stars Casamia, be aware that they've introduced payment on booking.

"The food was very interesting (and good to eat). I had the wine flight, which was ok, but not as good as others I have tried. Overall a lovely evening for our anniversary. "
