“Small and perfectly formed” two-year-old with a “wonderful waterside setting” in St Katharine Dock that serves “seafood that should appear on the end of Paul Whitehouse’s rod – it’s that fresh!”. “On a sunny day with an outdoor table, it’s the best” – the “fantastic shellfish” includes “the best langoustines ever and stellar scallops”. Theodore Kyriakou, who set up both Livebait and The Real Greek back in the 1990s, is part of the founding team.

Theodore Kyriakou – who, back in the day, built both Livebait and The Real Greek – is part of the team behind this simply decorated, early 2020 newcomer in lovely St Katherine Dock (which comes complete with outside tables): “a confident gem of a fish restaurant” with “an unusual wine list which pairs exceptionally well with the well-prepared and presented dishes” (sourced from around the British Isles). It won a recent 10/10 from The Guardian’s Grace Dent.

For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
