Harden's says

The London outpost of a NYC hotel arrives in London in 2021 (delayed by lockdown), located inside the historic, grade II-listed building known as The Bow Street Magistrates’ Court and Police Station. The main restaurant sits inside a stunning three-storey, glass-ceilinged atrium, and there's also Side Hustle - NoMad's take on a British pub - a cocktail bar and a guests-only library bar. NYC chef Daniel Humm was originally linked with the project but is no longer mentioned on the website.

A “simply brilliant addition to Covent Garden” – Grade II listed Bow Street Magistrates’ Court, as was, is now the first London offshoot of Manhattan’s hip NoMad hotel, with a dining room, ‘The Atrium’, that occupies a stunning indoors-outdoors glass-ceilinged space three storeys high. It’s “great for breakfast (and lunch and dinner)”, with exec chef Ashley Abodeely putting her NY/LA spin on the best seafood, meat and vegetables Britain can produce. “This is a really special dinner out… if you can stomach the prices”, and while you’re there you must slip into the Side Hustle, a bar occupying the old Bow Street police station, where Abodeely indulges a taste for tacos she developed while working in LA. “Special mention to the cocktails and very professional and friendly waiters”.

“Shot to the top of my romantic list!” – the Grade-II-listed former home of Bow Street Magistrates’ Court and Police Station provides a magisterial – very London – background to this outpost of a hip NYC hotel. It was originally scheduled to open in 2020, but finally opened its doors in May 2021. Its main restaurant sits inside a stunning three-storey, glass-ceilinged atrium complete with “hanging lanterns and lush greenery” – a “beautiful” space that creates an “exciting and very intimate” ambience. NYC chef Daniel Humm was originally linked with the project but is no longer mentioned on the website. The food somewhat plays second fiddle to all the electricity of the backdrop, but early feedback suggests it's more than an afterthought. (Another option here is ‘Side Hustle’ – NoMad’s take on a British pub serving Mexican sharing plates – plus a cocktail bar and a guests-only library bar.)

For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"Excellent set menu for pre theatre dining. Staff very helpful and despite being quick it does not feel rushed."
